Our doodle today is dressed in traditional Jordanian patterns to mark Jordan’s Independence Day. Speaking of tradition, this is doodler Mike Dutton’s fourth year illustrating the doodle for Jordan. “I heard from a fellow Googler how excited the Queen of Jordan was when she was presented with a framed copy of my first doodle for Jordan," says Mike. "And so I’ve made it a mission to try and make each year better than the last! It seems a little silly at first, but it has created an opportunity to learn more about Jordanian culture and to find new ways to celebrate a unique and beautiful country. I think that curiosity resonates with our Jordanian users.”
